Jason Barie has played with artists such as Carolina Road,
Jim and Jesse McReynolds and currently Larry Stephenson. On this solo outing he
delivers 15 tunes - 10 originals. While the majority of the material is
fiddle-based bluegrass, Jason also displays his fine mandolin skills and debuts
as a vocalist on Our Story - a pleasant song about how he met his wife,
fell in love and got married. There’s lots of favorites including the uptempo
instrumentals Custom Coach, Stella And The Blacksmith, Mama Sue’s Blues,
as well as Steve Dilling’s rambling banjo on Epsalon’s Revenge, Jaime
Crain’s enjoyable vocals on The Owner Of My Soul, and Sarah Lynn
Waltz, which Jason wrote for his wife while they were dating. This is
traditional bluegrass, written, sung and played right! BMP
