Jim Hurst
Box of Chocolates
BY GRACIE MULDOON

Jim Hurst’s Box of Chocolates is so sweet you could become insulin resistant - delectable, delicious, delightful - it’s all good music to consume. Jim has struck a sweet chord for those of us who like our bluegrass and listening music flavored a bit. Chocolate Chaise Lounge is jazzy and snazzy. Darlin’ Tell Me Why is a great bluegrass tune. I Ain’t Gonna Cry For You is very soulful and folky. Kentucky Sunrise Waltz is a pretty instrumental. Each song has a different flavor to appeal to a lot different tastes, but it’s all yum in your ears - fast, slow, hot, cool. Little Baby Child has a great message in it, and Jim has thrown in a little extra surprise on the end of it. Thanks Jim for the wonderful music offerings that you consistently bring to the table for those of us who like the spice of life. As Goldilocks would say, "It’s just right." You have to own this CD. It will be played forever. BMP
