Luke
McKnight & Thunder Road
Leader Of The Band
BY GRACIE MULDOON

Being part of the famous McReynolds lineage - Luke is not a newcomer to bluegrass as he was part of the Virginia Boys at a tender young age - and through those experiences he’s shining bright as a newly polished saddle. The title track is a rock cover done ‘grassy, but its really cool. My favorite tracks from the project are Eastbound Freight Train - this is one of those kinda songs that gets stuck in your head; Chuck Berry’s Maybelline done Luke style; and 2000 Years Ago - a great gospel, personal-experience type song. Luke has a mellow country-toned voice that is very smooth and nice to listen to. He’s "real" and real good. A solidly good CD - it’s definitely a pick up. BMP
