The
Wilders
Someone's Got To Pay
Free Dirt Records
BY GRACIE MULDOON

The Wilders hail from the western parts of Missouri. Their choice of songs on this CD reflects a variety of musical influences and treats the listener to a vast array of music, which voyages into some unique diversity. The CD takes us on a roller coaster ride from the jarring rhythms of the opening songs, to the old-timey feel of fiddle tunes, to the easy listening sound of Hey Little Darling. Some of the songs on this CD are what The Wilders fans have come to expect, however, there’s a sense that they may be searching for a new voice with this venture, but the impression is that they never really locate it. Some other tunes include Wild Old Nory, Broken Down Gambler, and My Final Plea. BMP
