Tim
Hensley
Long Monday
Rural Rhythm Records
BY ROBERT STEELMAN

Cincinnati, Ohio native Tim Hensley has had an illustrious
career working for musicians such as Ricky Skaggs, Patty Loveless, and Kenny
Chesney. He draws on those experiences as he steps out on his first solo project
which aptly showcases his talents both vocally and instrumentally. The result is
an exciting and diverse album. He draws his material from a variety of sources.
Ridin’ Out the Storm, with it’s minor-laden melody, conjures up strong
images of the inner-city homeless existence. Tim nails his version of the gospel
song Two Coats. There’s also a lovely, haunting version of I’m Working
on a Building. Hensley has very capably established himself as a solo
musician with this release. BMP
