Walkin' To The Bridge
Hoot Hollow Music
BY ROBERT STEELMAN

Guitarist Tom Dudley has assembled a group of fellow North
Carolinians to produce a fine selection of music. The entire collection was
authored by Dudley who gives us five instrumentals and six vocal numbers. Vocal
duties are shared by Tom Dudley, Robert Greer, Cary Fridley, and Lance Mills.
This is not your typical first solo effort. There’s a wealth of exciting talent
to be heard here. Ryan Cavanaugh’s banjo is clean and clear, moving with ease
from hard-driving bluegrass into intricate, jazzy riffs. Nicky Sanders, of The
Steep Canyon Rangers, provides some mighty fine fiddling. Bassist Paul Leech
slips into a different role providing whistle on Shining Rock. Don’t
You Mourn For Me is a beautiful song that will evoke strong emotions.
Whatever your tastes in music, this album offers something for everyone. BMP
