The highly anticipated sophomore project from bluegrass music’s sweethearts, Darin and Brooke Aldridge, will be released on Mountain Home Records, a division of Crossroads Music, January 19th. The self-titled CD, produced by Nashville veteran Jerry Salley features 12 tracks showcasing this rising duo of beautiful young newlyweds singing and playing a rich combination of bluegrass and bluegrass gospel music. Audiences in every venue have been stunned by the conviction, commitment, and depth of performances by Darin and Brooke Aldridge. Presenting songs of faith in God and love of each other, their conection with their audiences is extraordinary. Brooke’s voice is powerful andemotional with Darin’s harmony worktightly matched and phrased as only family can do. Compared to a female and male version of the Everly Brothers, Darin and Brooke bring a freshness to traditional bluegrass and bluegrass gospel. It is old but new; still bluegrass but also contemporary acoustic music with perfect instrumentation.
The new CD from Darin & Brooke Aldridge will have its official radio debut January 17th with Bob Webster’s radio program Stained Glass Bluegrass on WAMU’s Bluegrass Country. Bob Webster will feature select cuts from the CD and visit with Darin and Brooke. Later this month, the entire project can be heard on Sirius XM Radio’s Track by Track with Kyle Cantrell.
In celebration of their new project, Darin and Brooke Aldridge are hosting a special CD Release event on January 22nd at the Don Gibson Theater in Shelby, NC beginning at 8:00pm. Tickets are $18.00 with all proceeds from the event going to The Cherryville Area Ministries.
