When Willie Nelson was planning his American Classic show at the historic Ryman on November 5th, he made the call to Rhonda Vincent and The Rage to open the show. An American classic as well, Vincent has risen to the top echelon of bluegrass and acoustic music. Known for her commanding and supple voice, she has sung on dozens of records in other genres – but Nelson also wanted to see her play. “Can’t wait to see you pick,” he said, as Vincent earns respect for her virtuosity and speed on multiple instruments.Leave a Reply
